Makeshift Masala Pav

INGREDIENTS (IN ORDER OF USAGE):

1. 2-3 tablespoons butter

2. 1 teaspoon dry fenugreek leaves

3. 1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste

4. Juice of 1 Lemon

5. One small onion, finely chopped

6. 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder

7. Quarter teaspoon turmeric

8. Half teaspoon chilli powder (DO NOT ADD MORE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BURN YOUR TONGUE)

9. 1½ tablespoon Pav Bhaji masala

10. 2 pureed tomatoes

11. 6 slices of regular sandwich bread

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Take a non-stick saucepan and heat your butter till it melts.


  1. Then add your fenugreek and ginger-garlic paste and mix.


  1. Add your onions and a quarter of lemon juice and let it cook till the onions are translucent in colour.


  1. Next, add your coriander powder, turmeric, chilli powder, the remaining lemon juice and Pav Bhaji Masala and mix. If the mixture seems dry, add 1-2 tbsp of water to it.


  1. Add your tomatoes and cover with a lid. Continue to heat for 5 minutes.


  1. Once your mixture looks dark red and is moderately dry, take it off the heat.


  1. In another pan, add some butter and toast your bread.

OR

Put your bread in a toaster.


  1. Next, layer your toast with your filling using three toasts.


  1. Serve and enjoy while hot!
