A New Day, A Fresh Chance

The sun peeks through

the haze of clouds,

as its golden hue

brightens the sky.

It brings tidings

of a new day, of a new heart.

It washes away the glooms of night,

and whispers of a new start.

A door opens, opportunity knocks,

but soon its gone,

and you're stuck in life's paradox,

wondering, wondering at possibilities.

What could have been,

had I claimed this chance my own?

Would I have failed?

or would I have flown?

So seize that chance,

run through that door,

show the world

what you were made for.

Give it your all,

your heart and your soul,

ignite that spark,

attain your goal.

Let the haters hate your flame,

but blaze so bright,

that whether you fall or fly,

you still blind them with your light.
