Holi

As Holi roamed about the streets,

Watching people play with glee,

Ladies cooking delicious meals,

Oh! what a sight it is to see!

Colours here, colours there,

Happiness can be found everywhere,

Laugh when you’re drenched in water,

Cry when no one plays any further.

The spirit of Holi stays with you,

No matter if you’re red or blue,

Aged or young, old or new,

Holi will always be the same for you!

Come on! come on! come on let’s play,

Don’t be shy it’s just today,

But he just smiled and walked away,

Saying, “we shall meet again on this day.”
